How to Specify Values for a Form Control

Right click the the selected control. When the context menu opens select Format Control.

When the the Format Control opens select the control tab. Click on the button to the right of the Input Range text field to open the Cell Range selection box.

Move your cursor to the upper left hand corner of the data that you want select. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor to select the range of cells then release the mouse button. Click on the to close the range selection box.

When the Format Object returns click on the Cell Link box then click on the cell where you want the index to be located. The cell location will appear in the Cell link text box.

Next, you will use the index function to assign a value to your listbox selection. In this case we will determine the price based on the item selection. Click on the cell below Price (D2). Select Function from the Insert drop down menu.

When the Insert Function Box opens select Index then click on OK.

When the Select Argument opens select Array, Row_num, Column_num then click on OK.

Click on the button to the right of the Array text field to open the Cell Range selection box.

Click on the Row_num text field then click on the cell that contains the index number (B2). Click on the Column_num text field then enter column in the array that holds the Price (2). Then click on OK.

The cost of the selected item will appear the price column.
